ORG XMIT: *S0406003282* ** ADVANCE FOR WEEKEND MAY 10-11 ** FILE ** Parts of downtown Waco, Texas lie in ruin after a tornado ripped through the city May 11, 1953, killing 114 people. Residents received no warning and the storm trapped people for days. Nearly 200 businesses were damaged by the late afternoon storm.
